Donald Trump Will Again Extend TikTok Divestiture Deadline

Earlier within the day, Trump advised reporters on Air Force One that he would “probably” prolong the deadline. “Probably have to get China approval but think we’ll get it. I think President Xi will ultimately approve it.”

“We’re advocating for a new, better, advanced Internet where individuals own and control their identity and their data,” McCourt advised the publication. “We’re in charge, and our social information is ours to share with others as we see fit.”

During his first time period, Trump sought a divestiture of TikTok from its China proprietor. But Trump’s actions through govt order acquired sidelined within the courts. This time period, he has been praiseworthy of TikTok, crediting it for serving to him win over younger voters.
