Angus MacInnes — a prolific actor who appeared within the unique “Star Wars” movie — has died … in line with a Facebook publish by a member of the family.
In the assertion, his household reveals MacInnes handed away peacefully on December 23, surrounded by family members. They didn’t record a reason for demise.
Angus’ household says he took nice pleasure in showing in some unforgettable initiatives throughout his profession … including that followers of “Star Wars” held a particular place in his coronary heart.
Outside of his profession, the MacInnes household says he was a “variety, considerate, and beneficiant soul who introduced heat and humor into the lives of everybody who knew him.”
MacInnes made his first movie look within the 1975 movie “Rollerball,” starring James Caan, in an uncredited position as a guard … and, two years later he performed Jon “Dutch” Vander, higher referred to as Gold Leader, in “Star Wars.”
While not a very large position, the half made him immediately recognizable to ‘SW’ diehards … and, he was a frequent visitor at conventions for the franchise. His voice was used once more within the 2016 film “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.”
Among his different credit … “Superman II,” “John and Yoko: A Love Story,” “Judge Dredd,” “Eyes Wide Shut,” “Hellboy,” “Atlantic City,” “The Black Dahlia,” and “Captain Phillips.” A brief movie through which he seems, titled “Don’t,” is at the moment in post-production, in line with IMDb.
Angus was 77.
