“Eat The Acid”
Kesha is a singer and songwriter from Los Angeles. She put out her first tune in 2009, and it was an enormous #1 hit within the US and 13 different international locations. She’s had 10 top-ten singles on the Billboard charts, and offered thousands and thousands of albums. She obtained well-known for songs that have been about partying, and breaking the foundations, and having enjoyable. But this 12 months, in May 2023, she put out the album Gag Order, which is much more uncooked and susceptible. She made it with celebrity producer Rick Rubin. And for this episode, I talked to Kesha about her tune “Eat The Acid,” which she wrote early on within the pandemic. I used to be actually within the intense, distorted vocal sound that I’d heard within the observe; and as you’ll hear, it seems most of that was a byproduct of the best way she needed to write and document after we have been all in lockdown.
