In the previous few years, Kentucky-born, London-based DJ and producer Marea Stamper (The Blessed Madonna, previously the Black Madonna) launched a remix of Dua Lipa’s “Levitating” that includes Madonna and Missy Elliott. Later in 2020, the Blessed Madonna combined Lipa’s Club Future Nostalgia remix album that includes Gwen Stefani, Mark Ronson, Yaeji, and extra.
That stated, she technically hasn’t launched any solo materials since 2017 (“He Is The Voice I Hear”) — till now. The Blessed Madonna has shared an important new home single titled “Serotonin Moonbeams” and that includes vocals from Uffie. Over a driving beat and “Young Folks”-esque whistles, Uffie sings in a cadence that vaguely remembers “Tom’s Diner.” It’s throughout good enjoyable and undoubtedly lives as much as its title.
