The Attorney General of the Republic (PGR) of Angola admitted as we speak that the amnesty regulation proposed by the Government might take round 2,000 prisoners, 10% of the jail inhabitants, out of jails and result in the shelving of a number of instances.

Helder Pitta Gróz was talking in Luanda on the sidelines of the swearing-in ceremony of 30 new sub-attorneys of the Republic, however stated it was not doable, for now, to specify how many individuals will profit from the amnesty regulation, because it has not but been accepted by the National Assembly
