Tegan And Sara’s new album Crybaby is out in a pair days. They’ve shared chunk of singles from it already — “Fucking Up What Issues,” “Yellow,” “Pale Like A Feeling,” and “I Can’t Develop Up” — and right this moment they’re again with yet one more advance monitor, “Smoking Weed Alone.”
“With this album, I needed there to be a dialogue that we might have in regards to the songs,” Sara stated of the monitor, which was initially written by Tegan. “A few of Tegan’s songs turned nearly like duets, as a result of she allowed me to go in there and problem her to rewrite lyrics. I needed a story that would tie into our relationship and a number of the issues that have been taking place in our life, even when the tune wasn’t about that. And for ‘Smoking Weed Alone,’ there’s a refrain the place we’re form of singing to one another, and we haven’t finished that earlier than, in our profession.”
