The newly shaped United Ukrainian Ballet is to carry out on the London Coliseum from September 13 to 17 in a brand new manufacturing of Giselle specifically made by choreographer Alexei Ratmansky. The corporate was created by dancers who fled Ukraine and have discovered a haven in The Hague – the town has given them the previous Royal Conservatoire to stay and work in, via the help of native enterprise and the federal government. Ratmansky, himself a Ukrainian citizen, is donating his time to hitch the corporate to create this new interpretation of Giselle. The season will characteristic visitor performances by Alina Cojocaru and Katja Khaniukova.
The units and costumes, designed by Hayden Griffiths, are generously loaned by Birmingham Royal Ballet and the dancers shall be accompanied by the complete orchestra of the English Nationwide Opera, below the baton of Viktor Oliynyk, conductor of the Nationwide Opera of Ukraine.
