Hold On Tight, Spider Monkeys: Is a New ‘Twilight’ Movie Coming?

Is There a New 'Twilight' Movie in 2025? What 'Forever Begins Again' Message Means
Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner

Just when we thought we’d escaped Forks, Washington without a relapse, the Twilight saga is pulling us back in!

The official Twilight Instagram account just posted a cryptic message that has fans buzzing louder than a mind-reading vampire. The post hinted that something is brewing between Lionsgate and Fathom Events.

So, does this mean we’re getting a new Twilight movie in 2025? Will we see more of Bella, Edward, and Jacob? Let’s break it down (and no, you don’t have to close your eyes).

Is There Really a New Twilight Movie?

In short: no. Well, not a new one with new stories, at least.

As of now, Lionsgate has not announced a brand-new Twilight film. There was talk of an animated Twilight series in the works at Netflix last year, but that’s a different story.

So what’s all the fuss about?

What Does “Forever Begins Again” Mean?

The Instagram post that started it all showed a picture of Bella, Edward, and Jacob with the message, “Forever Begins Again.” Bella’s eyes were golden—her vampire eyes—which definitely got people talking.

The post also included the phrase: “This October.”

After all the speculation, it was revealed that this is actually a promotion for a special theatrical re-release of all the Twilight movies this fall! So get ready to head back to the theater for a major dose of nostalgia.

Would the Original Cast Even Come Back?

Probably not. It’s been over a decade since *Breaking Dawn – Part 2*, and the main cast has clearly moved on.

Since vampires don’t age, a sequel would likely need a whole new cast anyway.

Taylor Lautner (who played Jacob Black) actually spoke with Hollywood Life back in July 2024 about finding balance after his early fame. While he didn’t mention Twilight by name, he talked about learning to handle the spotlight.

“It has been a balance for me, but I would say I used to be way more closed off in private than I am today,” Taylor said. “I just think when things happened at a young age that it was just kind of a scary thing having so much privacy taken away… And for me in the last few years, I think I’ve found a healthier balance.”

So for now, it looks like we’ll just have to enjoy the original movies all over again on the big screen. And honestly? We’re not even mad about it.
