EXCLUSIVE: PR veteran Will Zang is launching his personal agency, Blade Vista Public Relations, a “boutique collective dedicated to supporting Asian, Asian American, and international films in navigating the U.S. media landscape.”

Zang, a local of China primarily based in Los Angeles, brings greater than a decade of expertise to the brand new firm, shepherding cross-border theatrical releases, streaming platforms, and awards campaigns. He has led North American publicity efforts for movies distributed by Netflix, HBO, MTV Documentary Films, and National Geographic, constructing a status “for helping culturally nuanced and underrepresented works achieve critical visibility.”

In an announcement, Zang mentioned, “Blade Vista is more than a platform — it’s a mission. I created it to support global storytellers who are often overlooked in the mainstream. With roots in Asian film cultures and years of hands-on experience in the U.S. industry, I want to help these voices break through borders — not just geographically, but culturally and emotionally.”

Recent campaigns embody the Korean crime thriller Yadang: The Snitch, the motion drama The Old Woman with the Knife, and Banr, a Chinese household drama directed and starring Erica Xia-Hou that held its world premiere on the 2025 Slamdance Film Festival in Los Angeles. “In each of these projects,” notes a launch, “Zang played a key leadership role in shaping U.S. press strategy, curating media angles, and facilitating impactful coverage across trade, mainstream, and ethnic media outlets.”

Zang, who obtained levels from the San Francisco Art Institute and the California College of the Arts, can also be a filmmaker with quite a few credit together with the documentary characteristic Kink and the doc quick Dress Up Like Mrs. Doubtfire. His twin expertise as a filmmaker and publicist “allows him to deeply understand both the artistic and commercial dimensions of filmmaking, and to represent his clients with a uniquely empathetic perspective.”

Operating as an impartial collective, Blade Vista Public Relations will supply “comprehensive services in publicity strategy, festival positioning, awards consulting, and media relations,” in line with the discharge. In elevating the visibility of worldwide cinema in North America, Zang sees Blade Vista as “a bridge between continents, communities, and audiences.”

Actor-director Erica Xia-Hou, who costarred with Jackie Chan in 2017’s Bleeding Steel, and with Tony Leung Chiu-wai in 2025’s Fox Hunt, and directed the above-mentioned Banr, is a latest Blade Vista shopper. “Will has a unique ability to translate a film’s cultural context for Western media without losing its soul,” she mentioned. “He understands both sides of the table — he’s a creative and a strategist. His insight has been instrumental in shaping how our stories are received abroad.”
