‘Shogun,’ ‘Dr. Kildare’ Star Passes Away

Richard Chamberlain — the longtime star who headlined numerous beloved sequence and mini-series over the previous 60 years — has handed away.

Chamberlain would have turned 91 on Monday.

News of his passing involves us courtesy of his longtime companion, Martin Rabbett.

The world says goodbye to an iconic TV star

“Our beloved Richard is with the angels now. He is free and soaring to those loved ones before us,” Rabbett instructed CNN in an announcement Sunday.

“How blessed were we to have known such an amazing and loving soul.”

No reason behind demise was talked about in Rabbett’s assertion.

Richard Chamberlain’s epic profession

He would acquire additional approval for his work on such iconic restricted sequence as The Thorn Birds and the 1980 model of Shogun.

Chamberlain remained lively in his later years, placing in cameos on such standard sequence as Will and Grace, The Drew Carey Show and Desperate Housewives.

He didn’t retire from performing till 2019, when he was in his late eighties.
