Berlin Golden Bear Winner ‘Dreams’ Scores Sales in Australia, Mexico


Berlin gross sales outfit M-Appeal has sealed additional offers for Norwegian director Dag Johan Haugerud’s Berlinale Golden Bear winner “Dreams,” in addition to further gross sales for “Sex” and “Love,” the opposite movies within the director’s trilogy.

“Dreams” follows Johanne, a younger girl who paperwork her past love — an infatuation together with her instructor — by way of intimate writing. In Mexico, the trilogy will probably be launched by Cinemas Nueva Era, and Edko Films has picked up the trilogy for Hong Kong forward of the Hong Kong International Film Festival in April, the place “Dreams” will display because the closing movie. Ukraine’s SVOEkino has additionally acquired the trilogy.

South Korea’s JINJIN Pictures, which beforehand acquired “Sex,” the trilogy’s first installment, has now picked up “Love” and “Dreams” to finish the set.

Previously introduced offers for “Dreams” embrace North America (Strand Releasing), France (Pyramide), Germany and Austria (Alamode), U.Okay. (Modern Films), Portugal (Films4You), Taiwan (Swallow Wings), Japan (Bitters End) and Bulgaria (Beta Films).
