Fire At Disney’s Epcot Forces ‘Ratatouille’ Ride Evacuation

A fireplace broke out Saturday at Walt Disney World and Resort‘s Epcot theme park, near the World Showcase’s French Pavilion.

No accidents have been reported from the backstage hearth, which reportedly began in a walk-in cooler, pressured visitors to evacuate from the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure trip on Saturday afternoon, based on a number of retailers.

Although the reason for the fireplace remains to be unknown, firefighters had the flame extinguished by 7:20pm, upon which the park resumed enterprise.

Videos on social media confirmed a view of the darkish smoke billowing above the theme park.

The hearth occurred in the course of the park’s International Flower & Garden Festival, which runs via June 2.
