Amazon MGM Studios’ Nickel Boys gained a number one six awards Monday on the Black Reel Awards, together with the group’s marquee Outstanding Film Award and Outstanding Director for RaMell Ross.
The awards, celebrating their twenty fifth version, honors the 12 months’s finest in Black cinematic excellence, had been handed out Monday in a digital ceremony.

Other notable winners tonight included Hard Truths star Marianne Jean-Baptiste, who gained the gender-neutral Outstanding Lead Performance award. The Mike Leigh movie additionally gained Outstanding International Film.
