In a video shared by Sky News Australia, the plane will be seen nosediving earlier than bursting into flames because it hit the bottom. An particular person may also be seen parachuting to the aspect of the jet.
According to the outlet, the U.S. Military stated the pilot ejected earlier than the crash.
“Our people are our most important resource, and we are committed in ensuring their safety and security,” Colonel Paul Townsend, commander of the 354th Fighter Wing, stated in a press release, per the discharge.
He added, “I can assure you the United States Air Force will conduct a thorough investigation into this incident to minimize the chances of such occurrences from happening again.”
Officials have urged native site visitors to “not stop on the Richardson Highway adjacent to Eielson AFB as this poses a safety risk and impedes recovery efforts.”
