My understanding was there were just a lot of rewrites and a lot of reshoots, and they know they’ve got a finished product that hopefully they’re happy with, and hopefully it’s successful, but it will be sans Seth Rollins.”
This information comes off the heels that Captain America: Brave New World would be the shortest movie within the Captain America saga. It’s doable that the complete Serpent Society storyline being axed led to Seth Rollins’ character being reduce, with Giancarlo Esposito’s character being a vestigial remnant saved round to maintain the movie’s logic intact.
