The thirtieth Annual ceremony was set to be broadcasted on its new companion E! and Peacock for a 7PM ET/PT broadcast. Chelsea Handler was set to return as host for her third consecutive 12 months.
The information follows the cancellation of this Saturday’s BAFTA Tea Party, an awards season January custom.
“In light of the dangerous winds and wildfires in Los Angeles, we are cancelling this weekend’s BAFTA Tea Party. The safety of our colleagues, friends and peers in Los Angeles remains our utmost priority and our thoughts are with everyone impacted,” wrote a BAFTA Tea Party rep.
