O.J. Simpson‘s Bank of America bank card has been auctioned off simply over 2 weeks after his demise.
The enterprise account card, which expired in 2023, fetched $10,675 at Goldin Auctions … making the vendor fairly the revenue after he bought it on eBay for less than $70.
Jonathan Lepore informed us he’d initially deliberate to reward the cardboard to his pal’s dad, who apparently used to hang around with O.J. and Nicole Brown Simpson within the Hamptons through the ’80s and early ’90s.
He hadn’t ran into him and forgot he owned the cardboard till information of O.J.’s passing jogged his reminiscence earlier this month, and he determined to promote it as a substitute.
Goldin founder & CEO Ken Goldin was thrilled about auctioning off the cardboard, predicting it could fetch some spectacular numbers. The last tally, after 63 bids, definitely lives as much as the hype.
But Jonathan’s not preserving the ultimate sale quantity all for himself. He’s performing some good by donating 10% of the proceeds to the National Network to End Domestic Violence.
TMZ broke the story … on Friday, O.J.’s official explanation for demise was confirmed to be prostate most cancers. Simpson handed away on April 10 on the age of 76, after spending a number of months out and in of hospital care.
