‘Friends’ Scripts Found In A Bin Sell For Thousands At Auction – Deadline


There has been a recent surge of affection and curiosity in Friends because the demise of Matthew Perry in October 2023, with the sitcom sitting as soon as once more within the Netflix high ten record.

Now the BBC experiences that scripts from two episodes of the present that had been rescued from a bin have been bought for £22,000 ($28,000) at public sale.

The two episodes had been set and filmed within the UK throughout the fourth season of the present. They comprised the season finale and coated Ross’s (David Schwimmer) wedding ceremony to Emily, which turned out be ill-fated following his mistake saying “I take thee, Rachel” on the altar.

The scripts had been recovered by a member of employees at Fountain Studios in Wembley, north-west London, when the present was filmed there in 1998.

Hanson Ross auctioneers informed the BBC that bidders “went crazy” for the gadgets, which had been purchased by an “online international bidder.” They reported that 219 pre-sale bids had been registered from everywhere in the world.

The present ran for ten seasons 1994 to 2004 and continues to obtain big audiences worldwide. The six stars – Schwimmer, Perry, Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Matt Le Blanc, Lisa Kudrow – assembled for a much-hyped reunion in May 2021.
