Warner Bros. Discovery Acquires Turkish Streaming Service BluTV


Warner Bros. Discovery has acquired Turkish streaming service BluTV, the corporate introduced on Friday.

For the previous three years, Warner Bros. Discovery and BluTV — Turkey’s first native SVOD service — have had a partnership that made WBD a 35% shareholder in BluTV. Since its 2016 launch, BluTV has proven fast development each in authentic content material and its content material library, resulting in the launch of Discovery+ on the platform in 2021. In February, HBO content material and youngsters channels have been added to BluTV, giving viewers entry to channels like Cartoon Network and Cartoonito, in addition to award-winning reveals like “The Last of Us,” “Game of Thrones” and “Sex and the City.”
