Anticipation for subsequent 12 months’s Amy Winehouse film Back to Black is rising with Studiocanal unveiled a second picture and saying launch dates.
The film charting the lifetime of the Rehab singer from Sam Taylor-Johnson, which stars Marisa Abela as the enduring artist, will launch within the cinemas within the UK and Poland on April 12 2024, Germany, the Netherlands and Australia on April 18 and France and New Zealand the next week. A U.S. launch date isn’t but forthcoming however Focus Features will launch the film sooner than the remainder of the world in Q1, with date coming quickly.

Abela, who broke out within the BBC and HBO’s Industry, stars alongside Jack O’Connell, Eddie Marsan and Golden Globe and Oscar-nominated Lesley Manville.
Back to Black is written by Matt Greenhalgh, reuniting the scribe with Taylor-Johnson following their collaboration on Nowhere Boy in 2009. Featuring lots of Winehouse’s hits, Back to Black has the total assist of Universal Music Group, Sony Music Publishing and The Amy Winehouse Estate.
Alison Owen (Saving Mr Banks, Me Before You, Elizabeth) and Debra Hayward (Les Miserables, Bridget Jones’s Baby) of Monumental Pictures are producing, Nicky Kentish-Barnes (What’s Love Got To Do With it?, Everest) government produces, with Nina Gold main the casting of the movie. EVP Global Production Ron Halpern and SVP Global Production Joe Naftalin government produce and are overseeing for Studiocanal.
