The first teaser for the extremely anticipated Game of Thrones prequel collection, House of the Dragon, was revealed in the course of the CCXP fan expo in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The second season of House of the Dragon continues to delve into the Targaryen dynasty’s struggles for energy in Westeros. “There is not any battle so hateful to the Gods as a battle between kin,” says Rhaenys Targaryen, the Queen Who Never Was, within the teaser. She emphasised, “And no battle so bloody as a battle between dragons.”
The teaser, operating over a minute, provided a glimpse of Alicent Hightower acknowledging, “Many will die, and the victor will ultimately ascend the throne.”
Set 200 years earlier than Game of Thrones, the Emmy-nominated House of the Dragon attracts from George RR Martin’s Fire and Blood, chronicling the rise and fall of the Targaryen dynasty. The collection started in 2022 with King Viserys I’s coronation, who named Rhaenyra Targaryen as his official inheritor.

Returning for House of the Dragon season 2 alongside Emma D’Arcy and Matt Smith are Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, Eve Best as Rhaenys Targaryen, Steve Toussaint as Lord Corlys Velaryon, Fabien Frankel as Ser Criston Cole, Ewan Mitchell as Aemond Targaryen, Tom Glynn-Carney as Aegon Targaryen, Sonoya Mizuno as Mysaria, and Rhys Ifans as Ser Otto Hightower.
House of the Dragon Season 2 will encompass eight episodes, two fewer than the primary season. New showrunner Ryan Condal talked about that this season will undertake a slower tempo in comparison with its predecessor.
