Bradley Cooper is dragged over his portrayal of legendary conductor Leonard Bernstein, and one of many criticisms is not less than price speaking about, whereas the opposite is totally ridiculous.
Cooper stars in “Maestro,” chronicling the lifetime of the New York Philharmonic conductor, who occurs to be Jewish.
One criticism is that Cooper wore a prosthetic nostril for the function, which some people on-line are calling a “Jewface” stereotype. Point of truth — Bernstein did have a big nostril, so we suppose that is a good situation to debate.
The ridiculous criticism … some people are slamming Cooper, who isn’t Jewish, and producers for casting him in a job that would have gone to a Jewish actor.
Note to critics — Bernstein turned well-known as a result of he was an ideal conductor who HAPPENED to be Jewish. So if Neil Armstrong have been Mormon, ought to producers solely forged a Mormon actor to play him? Absurd.
BTW … the film was produced by Steven Spielberg … ’nuff stated.
