Vaguely holding on to my practice metaphor, I’m additionally thrilled to share that I’m not the one new steam engine on the tracks right here at Griffin; we’re delighted to welcome Cassie Hamilton into the station! And for many who don’t thoughts a gallop down the Hume, you may catch Pony–starring one-woman powerhouse Briallen Clarke–because it lands in our nation’s capital with our pals on the Canberra Theatre Centre.

In different thrilling information, we’ve bought Suzie Miller’s Jailbaby in rehearsal. You’ll know Suzie as the author behind the worldwide smash hit Prima Facie, which is at the moment beautiful audiences on Broadway as I write (and stars newly-minted Tony winner Jodie Comer!). Helmed by our Associate Artistic Director Andrea James, our artistic staff is difficult at work bringing this difficult however essential work to the stage. Tickets are already working out the door for Jailbaby, so don’t wait!

And lastly, as we scoot in the direction of the top of the monetary yr (EOFY for these of you who love an acronym, similar to I do!), contemplate donating to Griffin earlier than 30 June. Bringing new writing to the stage is our sport, and supporting as many artists as attainable is our goal! We’re grateful for any assist you can provide—all of it provides up.

Well, that’s it from me! I’m off to learn some extra exiting Australian performs (and to good a Persian Love Cake). I look ahead to saying g’day the following time you trot on right down to the Stables!

Stay groovy,
