A 1-year-old boy is “very fortunate” to be alive after being shot twice by his 6-year-old brother, who discovered a loaded handgun inside their Detroit residence, in keeping with police.

On Wednesday (June 7), the Associated Press reported that the toddler was allegedly in a child bouncer when the older boy shot the toddler within the cheek and left shoulder, Detroit police stated.

Both Parents Cooperating With Authorities, Six-Year-Old Possibly Facing Criminal Charges

The two mother and father are totally cooperating with investigations into the non-fatal capturing.

Police justified the necessity for a search warrant to enter the house.
