MANILA -Globe Telecom pledged to register all its lively customers by July 25 after experiencing a “slowdown” in quantity after the deadline was prolonged final April by 90 days.

It stated 85 p.c of lively customers have been registered to this point.
“We intend to have 100 percent of our revenue-generating base fully registered within the 90-day extension. We are confident that we can achieve this with the initiatives that we are taking,” Darius Delgado, head of Globe shopper cellular enterprise, stated within the assertion.
The National Telecommunications Commission earlier prolonged the deadline for SIM registration, which was designed to chop textual content messaging-based scams. Some customers additionally raised complaints in regards to the complicated registration course of.
Globe stated it applied “various steps to make registration as easy and accessible as possible”. This included opening up GCash as a channel for absolutely verified Globe and TM customers to register their SIM playing cards.

Unregistered SIM customers have till July 25 to finish their SIM registration.
“Globe urges its subscribers to quickly take advantage of the extended time and not wait until the last minute to register to avoid the deactivation of their SIMs,” the corporate stated.
