Alice Fearn to steer Then, Now & Next at Southwark Playhouse – There Ought To Be Clowns


Paul Virides Productions right this moment broadcasts the world première manufacturing of the heart-warming, authentic musical Then, Now & Next, written by Christopher J Orton (My Land’s Shore)and Jon Robyns (at the moment enjoying the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera)in a first-time collaboration for the pair.

Directed by Julie Atherton (Ordinary Days) and starring Alice Fearn (Come From AwayWicked), with additional casting to be introduced, the manufacturing opens at Southwark Playhouse, Borough on twenty eighth June, with previews from twenty third June, and runs till twenty ninth July.

It got us both through lockdown with no expectation of the show turning into what it is today. We came out the other side with a piece that speaks to how we all feel now about moving forward and what it means to belong.

Struggling with a tough previous, Alex Shaw is making an attempt to take steps ahead. We comply with her journey over twenty years, by way of two loves – younger, adventurous idealist, Stephen, and the older, dependable and charming Peter –  as she gathers the scattered chapters of her life, within the hope of re-building her story and asking if she’s going to ever be extra than simply “fine”.

Through Alex’s experiences, her uplifting story questions how relationships can change over time and explores what it takes to really heal.
