Directed by Abhishek Verman, 2 States was an official adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s e book 2 States: The Story of My Marriage. The movie stars Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt within the lead roles, with Ronit Roy, Amrita Singh, Revathi, and Shiv Kumar Subramaniam in supporting roles.
The movie tells the story of Krish Malhotra, a North Indian Punjabi boy, and Ananya Swaminathan, a South Indian Tamil lady, who falls in love whereas finding out at an Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Ahmedabad. However, their dad and mom, who’ve vastly completely different cultural backgrounds and values, are towards their relationship and the couple has to navigate a collection of obstacles with the intention to persuade them to approve of their marriage.
