See, the brand new Hulu Original psychological thriller sequence “The Clearing,” starring Australian actors Teresa Palmer (“Discovery of Witches“), Miranda Otto (“The Unusual Suspects,” “Homeland“) and Guy Pearce (“Jack Irish,” “Mare of Easttown“). “The Clearing” will premiere with two episodes on Hulu on May 24, adopted by new episodes each Wednesday.

It’s actually only a massive Australian affair, actually. “The Clearing” is directed by Down Under filmmaker Jeffrey Walker (“Young Rock,” “Lambs of God“) and Gracie Otto (“Seriously Red,” “Bump,” “Deadloch“). The series is created and written by Elise McCredie (“Stateless”) and Australian playwright Matt Cameron (“Jack Irish“), with Australian co-writer Osamah Sami (“Ali’s Wedding“).
Filmed throughout Victoria, in you guessed it, Down Under, “The Clearing” is an emotional and psychological thriller that follows the nightmares of a cult and a girl who’s pressured to face the demons from her previous so as to cease the kidnapping and coercion of harmless youngsters sooner or later.

“The Clearing” is an eight-part psychological thriller based mostly on the best-selling crime thriller ‘In The Clearing’ by writer J.P. Pomare, impressed by the darkness of real-life cults in Australia and all over the world.
