It appears some ‘Star Wars’ diehards cannot take care of Lizzo and Jack Black‘s cameos on ‘The Mandalorian’ … ‘trigger they’re calling their appearances the demise of the franchise. Yeesh …
Here’s the deal … the two A-listers popped up on final week’s episode of the hit Disney+ present, and it ruffled some feathers within the ‘Star Wars’ fanbase. Some thought the sequence, and the IP as a complete, had jumped the shark … and that the magic of ‘SW’ was over and performed with.
That sentiment got here to a fever pitch this weekend with one dude’s now-viral tweet … which has spurred loads of discourse about who, precisely, ‘Star Wars’ was made for in its authentic iteration … and what it is come to signify now. Check out how this fella put it.
The Twitter person writes, “#StarWars is not for us nerds anymore. We who respect the lore & could be in tears after being forged in one of many motion pictures or exhibits. Star Wars is now for the favored youngsters who giggled & high-fived the bullies for stuffing you in your locker.”
He provides with some doom and gloom, “It’s crashing and #Disney deserves it.” Jesus, dude!
The fanboy’s ideas had been fairly divisive on the fowl app, with many responding to his tweet with confusion and shock. Basically, they really feel like he is overreacting — and that ‘Star Wars’ can (and may) be for everybody … not simply the locker-dwellers from the ’70s and ’80s.

While many tried shutting this man down/laughing him off, there’s loads of of us who truly agree with him — claiming Disney’s simply out for giant names and types … and that ‘Star Wars’ has devolved right into a soulless cash seize. The Mouse House is unquestionably out for money, little question, however ya gotta determine they’ve one of the best intentions with hires like Lizzo and JB.
Of course, the opinion of an OG goes a great distance too … Billy Dee Williams weighed in on this, and he is cool with Jack and Liz being within the household. That’s gotta rely for one thing.
In a galaxy far, distant … outrage does not exist. Not right here, although, sadly.
