(Opinion) Since taking workplace on January 1, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and his Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira have publicly advocated for a negotiated finish to the Russian struggle in Ukraine.
Brazil has taken a center course within the battle, irritating some Western leaders.
While Brasília has condemned the Russian invasion on the United Nations, it has skirted US-imposed sanctions in opposition to Moscow and rejected a US request to provide weapons to Ukraine.
