The L Word: Generation Q TV show on Showtime: canceled or renewed for season 4?

Showtime has cancelled The L Word: Generation Q, so there gained’t be a fourth season. However, the franchise could proceed with a brand new sequence.

A drama sequence, The L Word: Generation Q TV present is a sequel to The L Word sequence, which ran on the identical channel from 2004-2009. This incarnation was created by Kathy Greenberg, Michele Abbott, and unique sequence creator Ilene Chaiken.  It stars Jennifer Beals, Jordan Hull, Jacqueline Toboni, Rosanny Zayas, Arienne Mandi, Leo Sheng, Sepideh Moafi, Kate Moennig, Jamie Clayton, and Leisha Hailey. Season three friends embrace Kehlani and Fletcher, Margaret Cho, Joanna Cassidy, Joey Lauren Adams, Laurel Holloman, Jillian Mercado, Simon Longnight, Rosie O’Donnell, and Donald Faison. The present iteration follows the intermingled lives of Bette Porter (Beals), Shane McCutcheon (Moennig), Alice Pieszecki (Hailey), Dani Nùñez (Mandi), Micah Lee (Sheng), Sarah Finley (Toboni), Sophie Suarez (Zayas), Gigi Ghorbani (Moafi), and Angelica Porter-Kennard (Hull) as they expertise love, heartbreak, setbacks, and success in Los Angeles.

The third season of The L Word: Generation Q averaged roughly a 0.01 ranking within the 18-49 demographic and 67,000 viewers. Compared to season two, that’s even within the demo and down by 16% in viewership within the dwell+similar day rankings (consists of DVR playback via 3:00 AM). Note: Because this present’s rankings are fairly low, there are gaps in our rankings knowledge.

The third season completed airing in January. The rankings had been fairly low and, as Deadline factors out, no Showtime sequence have been renewed because it was announced that the cable channel will probably be built-in into the Paramount+ streaming service. Deadline stories that Showtime and Chaiken are growing a reboot of the unique sequence. The working title is The L Word: New York. The information suits with Showtime’s newly revealed technique of making new sequence linked to preexisting and common properties like Dexter and Billions.
