The Denver music scene is a tight-knit neighborhood, and the hotly-tipped trip-hop duo Since JulEYE mirror that camaraderie. Shattering style confines with their uniquely-blended sonic stylings, Since JulEYE was born out of shared musical tastes and Denver’s heat, inclusive creative identification.
After initially beginning as a solo venture by DJ/producer Lev Averbakh, Since JulEYE lately added long-time collaborator and veteran keyboardist Todd Stoops (RAQ, Kung-Fu) as a everlasting member. This new artistic partnership has resulted in a vibrant mixture of Averbakh’s bouncy hip-hop manufacturing with Stoops’ jam band sensibilities – a dynamic mixture that has led to performances at Summer Camp Music Festival, Gem & Jam, Color Field, and Wavespell, the place they’ve displayed their electrical dwell units.
Now, Since JulEYE releases their debut album, The Dawn Of Since, a full-length venture that showcases its artists’ singularly aligned musical instinct. It’s a genre-hopping masterpiece, that includes Eric “Benny” Bloom (Lettuce), Colby Buckler (Emancipator, Manic Focus), Michal Menert, ProbCause, and extra.
You can’t go flawed with any of the tracks, however our favourite is “Off White Flowers”, a lo-fi jam turned thrilling drum & bass experience that’s completely unforgettable.
“This album embodies our sonic evolution and we are extremely excited to share it.” – Lev Averbakh (of Since JulEYE)
