In May, Daft Punk are releasing a tenth anniversary version of Random Access Memories that includes 35 minutes value of beforehand unreleased demos and outtakes. Today, they’ve shared the primary of these bonus tracks: “The Writing Of Fragments Of Time,” 8 minutes of studio audio from the recording session for album monitor “Fragments Of Time.”
They wrote “Fragments Of Time” with longtime collaborator Todd Edwards. While they had been understanding the monitor on the Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles on February 29, 2012, they ran a tape throughout the entire session — that recording has been edited right down to “The Writing Of Fragments Of Time,” which captures Edwards and Thomas Bangalter speaking in regards to the music and determining its refrain, which had been written that day within the studio.
