Montreal-born make-up artist wins massive at ninety fifth Academy Awards


Montreal-born make-up artist Adrien Morot received massive on the Academy Awards on Sunday evening.

Morot walked away together with his first Oscar for Best Makeup and Hairstyling for his work on The Whale. 

Morot celebrated the award-winning efficiency alongside Judy Chin and Anne Marie Bradley, who labored alongside him to rework actor Brendan Fraser into his 600-plus-pound character.

Fraser snagged the Oscar for the Best Actor in a Leading Role class for his portrayal within the movie.

It took 12 weeks to construct all the physique and facial prosthetics for the character.

Morot mentioned the primary make-up check, the place Fraser was reworked into Charlie, took seven hours.

Montreal Mayor Valerie Plante took to Twitter to congratulate Morot.

“The talent here continues to shine internationally,” Plante mentioned.

Morot has beforehand credited his hometown of Montreal and its small movie neighborhood for jumpstarting his profession.

This was Morot’s second Oscar nomination for make-up work.

He was nominated in 2011 for the movie Barney’s Version.
