“You have a conviction that at a certain age you should have it all together — but then you get older and you keep moving the goalpost,” we’re advised in a brand new trailer for “Chantilly Bridge.” Linda Yellen’s sequel to 1993’s “Chantilly Lace” sees Lindsay Crouse, Jill Eikenberry, Patricia Richardson, Talia Shire, Ally Sheedy, Helen Slater, and JoBeth Williams sharing the display as soon as once more.
The movie sees the childhood associates reuniting after 25 years aside: a dying is what brings them collectively. “There is a land of the living and the land of the dead, and the bridge is love – the only survival, the only meaning,” a voiceover emphasizes.
Asked what she’d like folks to consider after watching the movie, Yellen advised us, “To quote Gertrude Stein, ‘There is no there there.’ No matter the age, we are always growing, we are always changing, and, if we’re lucky, we’re gifted with loving friends to grow with along the way.”
