While a lot of the nation waited out the chilly climate storms, Miamians have been busy attempting new eating places. The hospitality business is booming within the Magic City, with many new institutions opening in each potential sector — from fast-casual lunch spots to lavish locations to see and be seen.
Notable openings embody Antonio Bachour’s new Design District restaurant, Tablé by Bachour, and Tom Aviv’s Branja.
Sadly, Miami misplaced its beloved wine bar, Bar Meli (although No Reservations by Bar Meli’s proprietor, Liza Meli, is on the planet), Sour Seed closed in Midtown Miami, and Estiatorio Ornos by Michael Mina abruptly shuttered on the Aventura Mall.
Miamians can stay up for the grand reopening of the News Cafe this week, together with the approaching opening of Val Chang’s restaurant, Maty’s.
