A big Canadian comedy competition has introduced it’s coming to Halifax this summer season with comedy star Jerry Seinfeld on the forefront.
The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival — often held in Edmonton and Calgary — will likely be increasing into Halifax.
It will likely be hosted on the Garrison Grounds close to town’s downtown core.

On Tuesday, the competition introduced its Halifax headliner, saying Seinfeld is “one of the greatest and most recognizable comedians of all time.”
He is ready to carry out on Aug. 11, within the first of three competition nights hosted within the metropolis.
Seinfeld is finest recognized for his self-titled sitcom, Seinfeld, which ran for 9 season and received a number of awards within the Nineties. “The vision… is and will always be to create an inclusive and safe experience that celebrates and features all forms of performance comedy, from locals to superstars,” the competition wrote.
“All while celebrating and supporting the communities and beautiful parks we visit. A portion of the festival proceeds will support the Halifax Progress Club.”
Tickets for the competition go on sale on Friday, with tickets starting from $69 to $89 for basic admission and as much as $309 for VIP tickets.
