LUCENA CITY — A motorbike rider died and 27 jeepney passengers have been injured in separate highway mishaps in Rizal province on Saturday and Sunday (February 18 and 19).
A report from the Police Regional Office 4A stated motorcyclist Gerald Vergara unintentionally slid and was consequently run over by a truck pushed by Raffy Fernandez alongside Gen. Luna road in Barangay (village) Guinayang in San Mateo city round 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
The rider sustained grave accidents and died whereas being taken to Casimiro Ynares Hospital.
The truck driver was below police custody.
