MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board have introduced that 100,000 slots for each bikes and four-wheeled autos can be opened for Transportation Network Vehicle Services (TNVS).
These slots can be accessible to all Transport Network Companies (TNCs) and the announcement has come after a transport group claimed that the TNVS will solely be provided solely to at least one TNC.
Before the issuance of the coverage tips on these slots, public hearings with completely different stakeholders and deliberations with the Department of Transportation (DOTr) can be performed.
The awarding of those slots can be given due consideration and unfold out to different areas particularly within the Visayas and Mindanao, with a purpose to profit commuting in these areas.
“The LTFRB believes that the opening of franchise slots will be able to help provide the public with more job opportunities, aside from a more robust public transportation service,” the LTFRB mentioned in an announcement.
