SINGAPORE — A second-hand automobile vendor who has made it his life’s mission to assist strangers in want was named The Straits Times Singaporean of the Year 2022 on Thursday.

Mr Anson Ng, 55, will get calls and messages all through the day from associates and strangers who need assistance paying medical payments or overlaying funeral charges.
