The neighborhood is made up of many eccentric personalities that embrace Joseph “Father Joe” Binghoffer (Scott); cousins and greatest pals Kelly Mallet (Holmes) and Lloyd “Shrub” Mallet (Straley); Flatch Historical Society operator Nadine Garcia-Parney (Ortega); magnetic force-of-nature Mandy Matthews (Smith); native newspaper editor Cheryl Peterson (Cash); and Shrub’s frenemy, Mickey St. Jean (Linville). It’s a spot you need to go to and possibly even keep — if there was a good motel, which there’s not. In season two, Barb Flatch (Pressly) returns to her hometown for a recent begin and to present the neighborhood a “glow-up”.
