Before the pandemic, Amazon Studios was rather more fascinated with releasing movies with full theatrical runs earlier than placing the characteristic on Prime Video. However, when COVID made that an impossibility, we noticed the studio rely extra closely on Prime Video exclusives and draw back from full theatrical runs, even for movies that have been vying for awards season gold. Well, it seems that’s going to be altering but once more, as Amazon introduced its launch technique for the upcoming movie, “Air.”
According to Amazon Studios, Ben Affleck’s upcoming directorial effort, “Air,” is getting a full, worldwide theatrical launch in April. This is in distinction to what Amazon has beforehand achieved over the previous few years, with movies getting both no theatrical run or very restricted runs earlier than hitting the Prime Video streaming service. “Air” is directed by Affleck and tells the story of the rise of Nike because of its partnership with a younger Michael Jordan. The movie has an all-star forged that features Affleck, in addition to Matt Damon, Jason Bateman, Viola Davis, Chris Tucker, Marlon Wayans, and Chris Messina. The movie is written by Alex Convery.

It’s unclear when precisely “Air” will arrive on Prime Video. While the movie will probably be getting a giant theatrical launch, we’ve seen studios nonetheless put a movie on streaming as little as a month after its theatrical debut. However, we simply don’t have any data about that for now. What we do know is that “Air” will debut in theaters on April 5.
