In this second instalment, Jackman — who performs Hopkins’ son, Peter — is elevating his personal kids whereas grappling with the ever-complicated relationship between he and his father. Peter, who lately remarried and has an toddler son along with his new spouse Beth (performed by Vanessa Kirby), is summoned to assist his ex-wife Kate (performed by Laura Dern) mother or father their troubled teenage son Nicholas (performed by Zen McGrath).
Jackman’s efficiency in The Son earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Drama).
