PARIS — Paris commuters took benefit of the capital’s newly expanded community of bicycle lanes on Thursday to pedal into city and bypass a public transport system severely disrupted by nationwide strikes towards pension reform plans.
Workers throughout France walked off their jobs, leaving nearly no native or regional trains working and wreaking havoc on bus and metro visitors within the capital.
