Temporary ‘Thunivu’ put up | Baradwaj Rangan

Some amusement: So I received an electronic mail from this “well-wisher” (learn, Ajith fan, most likely) who very kindly didn’t need me to “make the mistake” of… Well, learn on 😀 Psychoanalysts can have a subject day selecting this mail aside 😀

Hi BR,

In a scene in Bigil, Rayappan calls his son to share a drink and provides him a hug after they’d an argument earlier. This father-son scene appeared to have resonated with you (together with a number of different scenes like Michael feeling like hitting a conservative brahmin man who wouldn’t permit his spouse to play and Micheal feeling weak, like an underdog, within the climax) and maybe had skewed your evaluation of the film.

I received reminded of this after I heard that Varisu can also be about father-son sentiments. I hope such a skew doesn’t occur once more since I anticipate Varisu to be underwhelming and Thunivu to be higher acquired, each critically and commercially.

Just felt like providing you with a heads-up.
