MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.8 earthquake jolted the waters close to the province of Surigao del Norte, particularly the municipality of Burgos, on Tuesday night, mentioned the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The epicenter of the quake was positioned 37 kilometers northeast of Burgos, Surigao del Norte, mentioned Phivolcs.
It was tectonic in origin and was recorded at precisely 7:043 p.m. with a depth of focus of 18 kilometers.
Intensity II was felt in Palo, Leyte.
