Meghan Markle and Prince Harry calling BS over a British newspaper’s try and make peace after considered one of their writers penned a scathing takedown of the Duchess … one which obtained a lot backlash, they really needed to yank the factor fully.
We’re speaking about Jeremy Clarkson‘s column in The Sun from a pair weeks in the past, wherein he steered MM was deserving of a public flogging of types … saying he dreamed of her being stripped down and shamed in probably the most graphic of phrases.
Literally gobsmacked on the totally vile and disgusting feedback written about Meghan Markle by Jeremy Clarkson within the Sun. What an utter piece of trash he’s…what’s it with these kind of males that triggers them so? pic.twitter.com/iLpzIilTlm

The paragraph that drew probably the most outrage learn, “Meghan, although, is a distinct story. I hate her. Not like I hate Nicola Sturgeon or Rose West. I hate her on a mobile stage. At evening, I’m unable to sleep as I lie there, grinding my enamel and dreaming of the day when she is made to parade bare via the streets of each city in Britain whereas the crowds chant, ‘Shame!’ and throw lumps of excrement at her.”
He was referring to an notorious scene in ‘Game of Thrones,’ when Cersei is put via this actual kind of remedy, in dramatic style.
Of course, his phrases drew the ire of many on social media … with a ton of parents calling his phrases misogynistic, racist and downright evil — simply the sheer quantity of vitriol he expressed for Meghan within the wake of her and Harry’s Netflix particular was, frankly, past the pale.
There had been reportedly scores of complaints filed over the column, and ultimately … The Sun obtained the message and apologized. They stated, partly, “Columnists’ opinions are their very own, however as a writer, we realise that with free expression comes duty.”
Oh pricey. I’ve quite put my foot in it. In a column I wrote about Meghan, I made a careless reference to a scene in Game of Thrones and this has gone down badly with an excellent many individuals. I’m horrified to have induced a lot damage and I shall be extra cautious in future.

Welp, the Sussexes weren’t having … calling The Sun’s phrase empty and meaningless — particularly since they, apparently, haven’t reached out to the one individual that issues.
A rep for Meghan and Harry says, “The undeniable fact that The Sun has not contacted The Duchess of Sussex to apologize reveals their intent. This is nothing greater than a PR stunt.”
They went on to say, “While the general public completely deserves the publication’s regrets for his or her harmful feedback, we wouldn’t be on this state of affairs if The Sun didn’t proceed to revenue off of and exploit hate, violence and misogyny. A real apology could be a shift of their protection and moral requirements for all. Unfortunately, we’re not holding our breath.”
