“Blue’s Clues” star Steve Burns unlocked a reminiscence buried deep inside when a most cancers survivor visited him at a conference — seems they’d met 2 many years earlier due to the Make-A-Wish basis.
Brandon Ragland tells TMZ … he is been in remission for greater than 23 years and not too long ago reconnected with Steve at Steel City Con in Pennsylvania, some 22 years after their first face-to-face below a lot totally different circumstances.
It’s fairly cool … Brandon says he walked as much as Steve’s sales space, shook the actor’s hand and pulled out an image of the two of them from 2000 — again when Steve was a Make-A-Wish child — and all of it clicked for Steve, whose eyes lit up and stated, “I bear in mind this and also you!”
Brandon says Steve advised him a narrative about their first encounter at Serendipity 3 in NYC. Brandon was a 4-year-old assembly his fave TV star, and Steve remembers him being a wild youngster working across the restaurant.
During their reunion, Steve requested Brandon for a brand new pic collectively, after which they each began crying. You can perceive why all of the water works — Brandon had stage 4 most cancers in his kidneys and lungs after they first met, and now he is 25 with a household of his personal.
Brandon says Steve then pulled him in for a hug and stated, “This made my complete 12 months and I’m so glad you are right here.”
Since then, they’ve stayed in contact on social media … and Steve’s made it clear how proud he’s that Brandon’s now a wholesome father and husband.
BTW, their OG Make-A-Wish expertise again within the day included dinner with Steve, a Toys “R” Us buying spree … and tickets to “Blue’s Clues Live” in NYC.
Sounds just like the second assembly was even sweeter.
