Henry Cavill’s The Witcher is headed to the Shaerrawedd ruins.
Entertainment Weekly has revealed the official title for the season three premiere of The Witcher, which sees Henry Cavill reprising his function as Geralt of Rivia for the ultimate time forward of his exit from the Netflix collection. The episode is titled “Shaerrawedd,” a reference to an iconic location from the Witcher books, which is making its live-action debut in season three.
“This set is one of the biggest we ever built,” The Witcher showrunner Lauren Hissrich instructed EW. “It was an interior-exterior set. Every shot is visual effects. Obviously there’s a fight happening, but more than that, it is this big, open space. There are blue screens everywhere, so we are just now putting the final touches on it. Episode 1’s been done for ages, but it’s taken that long to get this setting right. I think it’s really important for the story.”
Stephen Surjik is directing the Witcher season three premiere, working from a script by Mike Ostrowski.
