Hackers took down the web sites of Northeastern state governments on Monday (Dec. 12). The messages had been printed with political motivations.
The actions occurred on the pages of businesses linked to the governments of Alagoas, Pernambuco, Ceará, and Maranhão.
The most severe instances, which left pages offline for a couple of hours, occurred in Ceará and Alagoas.
Those who accessed the house web page of the Ceará authorities discovered solely a banner with a xenophobic message and hate speech calling for “annulment of the votes of all of the folks of the Northeast” and that “Northeasterners votes don’t rely” and for navy . . .
